The soundtrack, on the other hand, has aged very well and stands today as probably my favorite soundtrack CD. The movie was a lot of fun for the time, but has not exactly aged well like a fine wine. I graduated high school in 1981 and I watched the movie Heavy Metal a few times that year -including midnight screenings.
